Two routes are discovered for this endeavor; the first one takes you through Biratnagar to Taplejung on a direct flight and the second one involves Kathmandu – Biratnagar – Basantapur / Kathmandu – Bhadrapur – Taplejung and direct either flight and drive to Taplejung then following regular route of KBC route.

In second route, trekking is initiated from Basantapur ascending along the Kanchenjunga area with the Kanchenjunga and Oktang base camps on the way. The gorgeous valleys, verdant hillsides, amazing landscapes, cascading waterfalls, diverse flora and fauna, and picturesque villages of the region will make you journey naturally delightful.

The Rai and Limbu people of the region exhibit ancient Tibetan culture due to their proximity to Tibetan limit. You will be spellbound by the stunning panorama of mountains that basically include Kanchenjunga, Kumbhakarna, Dhormo, and Nupchu. Previous climbing experience and physical fitness is required for Bokta peak climbing.
