1: Sagarmatha national park
The Sagarmatha national park is in Solukhombu district and was made World Heritage site in the year 1976. It has an area of 1148 sq km. Apart from the Sagarmatha peak the other major peaks of Lhotse, Cho oyu, Nuptse, Pumori and Ama dablam are in this area. The major plants are rhododendron, pine tree, dhupi and bhojpatra. The wildlife includes red panda, snow leopard, Himalayan black bear, wild yak, Danfe, musk-deer and polar cheetah. Recommended trip to visit this site are as below.

2: Chitwan national park
Chitwan national park is located 120 km south-west of Kathmandu. Here one can see the rarely found one-horned rhino. The other species of wildlife include Royal Bengal Tiger, elephants, crocodiles, tigers, peacocks and varieties of birds. 3: Lumbini
Lumbini is a place of pilgrimage for people the world over who follow Buddhism. Lumbini is the birth place of Gautam Buddha. The Maya Devi Temple and Pushkarani pond in Lumbini are very popular. Here many other countries such as India, China, Vietnam, Japan, Myanmar, Thailand, South Korea, Germany and France have constructed monasteries and stupas.

4: Pashupatinath temple
Pasupatinath is a place of pilgrimage for Hindus. There are about 492 temples in this area that include the temples of Pasupat, Deupatan, Jaya Begeshori, Gaushal and Pingannath.

5: Changu Narayan temple
This temple was built in 4th century and is the oldest temple in Kathmandu valley. This temple is made in Pagoda style and is a fine example of stone carving. The idol of Lord vishnu in this temple has ten heads and ten arms.

6: Swayambhunath stupa
This is a Buddhist stupa atop a hill in Kathmandu. Large numbers of monkeys are roaming here and hence it is also called “monkey temple.” Since there is a temple of Hindu Goddess Saraswathi also here, Swayambhunath is regarded as a place of religious tolerance.

7: Bouddhanath stupa
Bouddhanath stupa is about 7 km east of Kathmandu. This was constructed around 5th century and is one of the oldest stupas in Nepal. It is popular pilgrimage of Buddhist people especially in between Tibetan Buddhist religious pilgrims.

8: Kathmandu durbar square
Hanumandhoka durbar square is situated in the heart of Kathmandu city. This was the capital of the Shah king Prithvi Narayan Shah. The place was named Hanumandhoka after King Pratap Malla erected the statue of Hanuman in this place.

9: Patan durbar square
Patan durbar square is in Lalitpur district and was the capital of Malla kings of medieval Nepal. Here the Krishna temple with 21 golden pinnacles is very famous. The other famous temples in this place are Bhimsen temple, Biswanath temple, Mahabauddha temple, Jagat Narayan temple, Kumbheswar Mahadev temple and temple of Rato Machhindranath.

10: Bhaktapur durbar square
This was the capital of Malla King Bhaktapur. The 55 Window-Palace, the statue of Bhupatindra Malla, Art Gallery, Golden Gate and Nyatapola are famous.
