Bhutan tour is the great way to explore people, culture, traditions, religion, life style, and the ecology of Bhutan. Bhutan is one of world’s most exclusive tourist destination open for tourism in 1974. The Bhutan is a country settled high up in the Himalaya mountains, next to India and Tibet, and as its neighbors, most of the people here are Buddhists.
The country is a parliamentary monarchy, something that also influences the touristic sites and views of this beautiful country, a mix of oriental religious world with medieval feuds. The cities are quite small and tidy, neat as well as the education and quality life here are quite different and higher from its neighbors.
People really have a very different conception of the world, even if humble, are often polite and peaceful. This peculiarity comes from the Vajrayana Buddhism, a different and more smooth stream of the religion. Bhutan cultural tour covers the two most popular touristic destinations of Bhutan, namely, Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan and Paro.
Cultural Bhutan tours introduce visitors to unique aspects of Mahayana Bhutanese culture, including visits to religious festivals and pilgrimage sites.
Also different from its neighbors, the monasteries around here are settle in really breathtaking structures. Over cliffs, on top of thin mountains and so many more sites that seems like the architecture is an extension of acrobatics. The Taktsang Monastery, that means the Tiger’s Nest, is located in Paro city . Is the most visited and important site in the country, as well as one of the most sacred Buddhist places in the whole world because of the myth a very important guru visited the place.
Guru Rinpoche supposedly arrived here in the back of a winged tigress, from which comes the name of the palace. Respectively, the fortresses and festivals, these two things are quite important and remarkable features of the Bhutan culture. There are several Dzongs / fortresses around the country and many of them are set in beautiful, surreal places.
One of the most relevant is the Tashichho Dzong, in the city Thimphu. It was the site of one of the government leaders from which comes most of the current political system of the country. In each Dzong happens annually one special festival, celebrating religious and cultural happenings of their history, the Tshechu are big celebrations and you cannot leave the country without being part of at least one of them.
During these festivals, there is a religious masks dance where monks and common men dance to wash away their sins and receive blessings.
Bhutan has several national parks around the Himalaya mountains, like Royal Manas National Park, 9 mile square km wide natural site. Don’t forget to get into trekking paths too to know better the places. The Druk path is a quite traditional walk. People leave Paro and go through the landscape until reach the capital Thimphu.
Bhutan has a lot of places to explore and often people who want to go through what is unusual and not traditional take Eastern paths. Let yourself go and adventure yourself in the beautiful plains of this country. Cultural Bhutan tours will take you through some of the most picturesque landscapes of spectacular mountain ranges to the lush green valleys.
